After making his first short The Calf (2021) with funding and development from The New Zealand Film Commission, his second film That Workman’s Arm (2022) premiered in competition at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and gained him a place to study on the Directing Fiction MA at the UK’s prestigious National Film & Television School. His NFTS graduation film This Is Ours (2023) premiered at Reykjavik International Film Festival, where it won The Golden Egg new talent award. His work often explores universal human fragility and darker psychological themes. As well as directing a new short film in early 2026, he has several feature and series drama projects in development.
